"Lydia is a magical gypsy whose violin notes dance like fire and fall with the grace of water. She is one of the most talented violinists Ive ever had the honor of working with. Her enthusiasm is absolutely infectious, and she is always so receptive to ideas, feedback, changes, and crazy impromptu improvisations. She beams a bright light, and it truly brightens up every person around her." - Ayla Nereo

Shea Freedom

Born in Los Angeles Freedom was raised in Californias foster care system where he was subject to 28 different placements. Like 68% of foster youth, Freedom emancipated into homelessness. No doubt the early instability would prepare him for the fast-paced life on the road. Freedom has traveled solo all over the United States via thumb, sailboat and motorcycle, collecting stories from the back of shrimp boats in the Gulf of Mexico to the festivals upon the shores of Hawaii. Freedom brought the love on tour opening for world-renowned artist Trevor Hall and Rising Appalachia.

Truthworker will perform excerpts from their provocative trilogy depicting the prison industrial complex through the lens of a dozen youth directly impacted by mass incarceration. From the school to prison pipeline, through solitary confinement, & into re-entry upon release, we weave rhyme, hip-hop theatre, dance, multimedia, & personal testimony to interrupt & transform the criminalizing & violent systems that permeate our communities.
